60 Capsules Natural Omega-3 with Antioxidants
Krill Oil from Antarctic waters
Krill designates all deep water marine plankton crustacean species. It looks like miniature shrimp, ranging between 1 and 6 cm in length. There are 85 species that represent the planet’s most abundant animal biomass found in banks that may likely extend over several square kilometers. Hence Antarctic Ocean is very rich with of Krill it is our source of krill.
Because the Krill Oil is clean, pure and doesn’t contain dangerous levels of mercury or lead, it doesn’t go rancid quickly and has a clean, fresh taste. Made from hearty krill, shrimp-like crustaceans that thrive in the harsh Antarctic waters, Krill Oil is the only product to contain phospholipids specially integrated with omega-3 essential fatty acids.
Rich sources of Krill
Many studies show that the biomass of Antarctic krill, one of the world’s most abundant biomass, may amount to 500 million tonnes. The precautionary catch limit was 6.6 million tonnes for 2008 and is reviewed annually. It was increased from 4.9 million tonnes in 2005/06 based on the results of recent surveys. It looks less than 2% of the precautionary catch limit is actually harvested, which means that the catch limit is unlikely to be reached in the foreseeable future. The annual natural reproduction of Antarctic krill is at least several hundred million tonnes. They are constantly renewing the standing stock and granting sufficient krill for all marine mammals and fish, birds and human exploitation. Antarctic baleen whales consume 85 million tonnes per year. Fisheries are harvesting as much as 120,000 tonnes per year .
Beyond Fish Oil
It was thousands of clinical trials over the past 10 years. They show benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. In 2008 alone, there were 1000 published papers and over 140 randomised clinical trials on omega-3 fatty acids. During this same period, there were some 15,000 media stories on omega-3 fatty acids. This makes omega-3 fatty acids among the most critically documented nutrients of all those currently under investigation. In consequence several groups have chosen to position krill oil as “better than fish oil.” We recognise the tremendous rigor of the science of omega-3 fatty acids. Most of this work has been built on fish oil, while additional work has been built on algae oil, flax oil, krill oil, and other oils.
